Unlocking Skills
So when you guys come up to a skill trader, and you can buy skills from him, do you just buy all of them, or just the ones you would use?

if its the first time i've been to the town.. i dont' buy anything... I finish all the quets around the town, and the neibhooring towns before i buy any skills...
basically, most of the skills they offer can be awards from quests.. |

same for me. I'm always amazed when people talk about being out of skill points. I think I've bought only 3 skills. The rest I've earned by questing. Most are available if you just look around.

What Popps97 said is true. The skills available at the trader should be around somewhere for doing a quest. I would suggest that you quest for as many skills as possible.

I think I've used 2 or 3 by buying actual skills. But I have gotten at least 12 signet of captures. (I'm currently trying to get all elites fro both my classes) So they're about the only things I use skill points on.

ok, so it sounds like some of you are doing what i do
buy one if you cant find a quest around to get it, otherwise, just leave them be unless obviously, someone is selling a signet of capture, and you pick that up anytime you see it |

Save the skill points for Signets of Capture, since that's the only way to get elite skills, and most normal skills can be gotten through quests.

I recently arrived at Lion's Gate and found the Skill Trader - but he doesn't have any new skills for me! Is that a good thing? I do almost all of the quests that come along, so maybe I have all of the ones I should have (I do have a lot to choose from).
It did surprise me that I hadn't missed any skills along the way though (if that's the case). I'm a level 16 MO/R. - Oolon the Pious |
